Online Quran Classes for Beginners
Start learning Quran online from the basics with patient 1-on-1 teachers. Begin with Arabic letters or Noorani Qaida, then build reading and Tajweed.
A Clear Starting Point
If you have never read the Quran — or tried and stopped — our online Quran classes for beginners are built for exactly that situation. You start with the alphabet, learn correct pronunciation from the first lesson, and progress in small, steady steps.
No previous knowledge is assumed, and no question is too basic. The teacher's job is to make the beginning easy to understand and easy to keep going with.
Step One: The Arabic Alphabet
Learning begins by recognising the Arabic letters and producing their sounds correctly, including letters unfamiliar to English speakers. This stage usually uses Noorani Qaida, the standard beginner method used by thousands of learners worldwide.
Step Two: Joining Letters into Words
Once letters are familiar, you learn how they join and change shape, then combine into real Arabic words. Teachers add vowel marks, tanween, sukoon, and shaddah gradually, so reading becomes confident rather than guessed.
Step Three: Reading from the Quran
When Qaida foundations are solid, you open the Quran and read short surahs with the teacher's live correction. Basic Tajweed rules are introduced naturally as you read, and short surah memorization can begin alongside.
For Children Starting Out
Children can begin from age four or five with short, playful lessons matched to their attention span. Parents receive simple feedback after each lesson so home practice reinforces what was covered.
For Adults Beginning for the First Time
Adult beginners progress quickly with personal attention. Because every lesson is one-to-one, the teacher can spend extra time on the sounds and rules that need it — something group classes cannot offer.
Start with a First Lesson
An introductory lesson lets the teacher assess your starting point and show you exactly how learning will work. Message us with the learner's age, any previous study, and preferred times to arrange it.
